They are used to measure the amount of heat consumed in heating and cooling systems. It is used in systems with central heating system and installation structure with collector (mobile). The heat meter calculates the difference between by measuring the flow temperature and the return temperature with external (on the body of the compact meters) and internal temperature sensors. It also finds the energy consumed by momentary measuring the passing flow.
Flowmeter: Measures the amount of heating water circulating in the radiator of the apartment.
Temperature Sensor Pair: Measures the temperature value of the heating water before it enters the apartment and the temperature value of the exit from the apartment after it circulates in the radiators.
Calculation Unit: Calculates the amount of heat consumed and stores in memory the previous consumption amounts.
Temperature sensor pairs were preferred by PT1000 or PT500 at the production stage. Some manufacturers use PT100 sensors. However, generally PT500 and PT1000 sensors are preferred in the current application. These sensors are used as sensor pairs and is pay attention that there is as little difference as possible between the two sensors accuracy.
Basically both types of sensors are the same as precision. The difference is only in the process of evaluating the data obtained during the measurement. There is no difference in using PT1000 or PT500 sensors for the user.
As shown below, one of the sensors is mounted on the calorimeter itself and the other is mounted on the input line.
The calorimeter consists of 3 main parts. These:
If these three parts are in separate sections it is called Combined Calorimeter, if the parts are placed on the same whole it is called the compact calorimeter.
Hybrid calorimetry is used in systems where heating and cooling can be done on the same line. It can an calculate both heating and cooling energy consumption.
Atlas Calorimeters is compact structure, in case desired can be converted into a combined structure.
CALIBRATION OF HEAT METERS
ATLAS heat meters are put up for sale after calibrated in our high-tech calibration laboratories. Furthermore, according to the law, heat meters with mechanical flowmeters should be calibrated once every 5 (five) years. In our calibration laboratories, our heat meters can be recalibrated and also heat meters of other brands which are compatible with mechanical of our meters can be calibrated by our company.
